Dre Poitras est pédiatre urgentologue au CHU Sainte-Justine depuis 2020. Elle a complété un baccalauréat en orthophonie à l’Université de Montréal en 2010. Elle a ensuite complété son doctorat en médecine à l’Université de Montréal en 2014. Elle a réalisé sa formation en pédiatrie générale au CHU Sainte-Justine en 2017. Dre Poitras a par la suite complété sa sous-spécialité en médecine d’urgence pédiatrique au CHEO à Ottawa en 2019. Elle a finalement effectué un fellowship en EDU (Échographie au département d’urgence) tout en œuvrant comme urgentologue pédiatrique au SickKids,  Toronto, en 2019-2020. Depuis son retour au CHU Sainte-Justine, elle fait partie du comité d’EDU et s’implique dans l’enseignement de cette modalité au département d’urgence.

Dr Poitras has been working as a pediatric emergency physician at CHU Sainte-Justine since 2020. She completed a bachelor’s degree in speech language therapy at the University of Montreal in 2010. She then completed her doctorate in medicine at the University of Montreal in 2014. She completed her training in general pediatrics at the CHU Sainte-Justine in 2017. Dre Poitras subsequently completed her subspecialty in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at CHEO, Ottawa, in 2019. She eventually completed a fellowship in POCUS (Point of Care Ultrasounds) while working as a pediatric emergency physician at SickKids, Toronto, in 2019-2020. Since returning to CHU Sainte-Justine, she has been part of the POCUS committee and is involved in teaching this modality in the emergency department.
